Svaja as a part of MEA delegation explored new opportunities in Qatar.

DOHA: A trade mission of 16 companies from the UK is to arrive here today and is scheduled to leave Qatar on March 7, 2012, a press statement issued by the British Embassy, Qatar, said yesterday.

The mission is led by The Middle East Association, the UK’s premier organisation for promoting trade and relations with the Middle East and North Africa, in co-operation with the British Embassy, Doha and UK Trade and Investment.

The trade mission will focus on building business links between British companies and Qatari partners, as the State prepares for mass infrastructure development in the build up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The delegation will have meetings with a range of organisations including the Lusail Visitors’ Centre, The Qatar Rail Company, The Public Works Authority (Ashghal), The New Port Project, the Msheireb Enrichment Centre and the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee. Networking sessions were kindly hosted by the Qatar British Business Forum, The Links Group and Clyde & Co.

The UK companies represented on the mission included: A4E, Apton Partitioning Ltd, D.P.D Ltd (Date Palm Developments), Detica International, Floating Concept Ltd, Harley Haddow LLP, Oil Marketeers, Organic Power North West Limited, Seven Brands Limited, SSAT Middle East Education Consultancy LLC, Svaja, Teddington Enginneered Solutions Limited, TXM Recruitment Ltd, Thales, BCB International Ltd, Firenet International Ltd.
